TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY VIA THE MTA WATER TAXI JUNE 2024
Weather did NOT permit us to go on this trip on Saturday May 18th 2024. Therefore, Candlewood Camera Club will be making a trip to New York City via the MTA Water Taxi. Information is: Starting in the Bronx at Ferry Point Park (Exit 18 on I687). This is the last exit before the Whitestone Bridge. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the boat ramp. We would like to embark on the 11:03 AM boat, from the Soundview dock and transfer at East 90th Street to the Astoria Route. For the return trip, use the Soundview dock. Tickets for the water taxi are $4.00 dollars one way. Below is the URL for the MTA Water Taxi. https://www.ferry.nyc/routes-and-schedules/ Please allow an hour and a half drive time plus 10 minutes for the walk to the boat ramp. P.S. Parking is free. We are working on the rain date yet. But wanted to get this in front of you again.
